Tahmoor Coking Coal has been an important community partner for over 40 years. It provides high quality coking coal underpinning Australian steelmaking in Port Kembla and Whyalla in South Australia.
Steel is an essential component to a number of critical industries including the manufacture of renewable energy products.
Tahmoor Coal has undertaken extensive stakeholder and community consultation regarding the proposed development since 2012, and takes its role seriously to inform, support and respond to issues that are raised.
Tahmoor Coking Coal is committed to ongoing and transparent consultation with the community in which it operates, and has a range of communication and engagement initiatives to keep the community and key stakeholders informed.
Consultation with stakeholders and local communities about the Tahmoor South Project will continue throughout the environmental assessment of the proposed development, as well as during the detailed design, construction and operational phase.
A number of communication channels and forums are used to keep the community and key stakeholders informed about the Tahmoor South Project, including:
- Project newsletters
